update_milestones

Updates the milestones tracker in agent memory — either replaces the full document or updates a single milestone's status inline. Use when: marking a milestone complete, adding new milestones, or syncing milestone state after work sessions. Scope: local filesystem (milestones.md in memory dir). No network access. Not for: tracking a full plan narrative (use update_plan), logging session events (use memory_log).
