Semantic Search
semantic_searchRanks local text files by relevance to a natural-language query using dependency-free TF-IDF token scoring. Use when literal file_search is too narrow and an agent needs conceptually related file names, identifiers, or text. Scope: local filesystem only, read-only, no embeddings or network calls; scans at most 1,000 text files up to 512 KB each. Not for exact line-level matches (use file_search).
